******ideas for using the QUICKUTZ 12" BANNER BORDER die & the MONOGRAM SET COOKIE CUTTER dies******

Here are 2 ideas for using the QUICKUTZ 12" BORDER 'BANNER' DIE and the QUICKUTZ 'MONOGRAM SET' COOKIE CUTTER DIES. I have the entire Monogram collection from a-z and L-O-V-E them. I use them more often then any of my other dies. These are definitely one set of dies I would not do away with - EVER!!!!!!!.

This is another quick and easy Birthday Card I made using one of my favourite Quickutz Exclusive dies, the REVOLUTION 4 x 4 CUPCAKE.
I just love the EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EDITION DIES and find that they can be rather addictive!!!!!! Well, to me anyway:-) I find that the more Exclusive dies I add to my collection, the more Exclusive dies I need. (notice I said need & not want because I believe that when you start a job you must finish it. And not having all the exclusive dies is a job not completed. well thats what I keep telling myself anyway:-)
I know that the exclusives are in a higher price range, but I dont feel so bad buying them as I know that their value will increase with time. Just call it a little nest egg for the future :-) I also dont feel so guilty about buying them anymore, now that I know what the price of tv games are. My kids are now at the age where they want to buy tv games and I have found that they are almost double the price of an exclusive die and then the kids scratch them before they even get to the end of the game:-( Now I feel that I have justified my latest exclusive purchases :-)

This is a quick and easy card I made using the QUICKUTZ REVOLUTION BIRDS 4x4 DIE, some paper flowers & some Brads. Something very simple, pretty & effective for those days when you want to be creative but that creative spark is Just Not There, no matter how hard you try. I suppose creativity also needs lazy days like I do :-)

Mushroom Castle Card

For this card I used the QUICKUTZ CLOUDS BORDER DIE CC-BDR-032, QUICKUTZ CLOUD AND RAINBOW DIE CC-SHAPE-2-022, and both the QUICKUTZ MUSHROOMS REV-0188-S and the QUICKUTZ 2X2 HOUSE DIE KS-0935 to make the mushroom Castle. I also used the TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS INKS to ink my die cuts before I placed onto my card.

I did a Garden Layout using some of my favourite photos of my daughter Cheyenne when she was a baby. I spread the layout over 2 pages so that it did not look all crammed into one page. She was a real ‘outside’ girl and just loved the garden and all the messy dirt that went with it. A short time in the garden would solve any tears or grumpy days she had.

For this layout I have used the following dies & products:-
QUICKUTZ CHEMISTRY ALPHABET 4x8-CHEMISTR-MU
QUICKUTZ LIMITED EDITION EXOTIC ISLAND ALPHABET
TIM HOLTZ DISTRESS INKS

QUICKUTZ BUTTERFLY REV-0088. I used vellum as the solid back piece of the butterfly to give it a smooth transparent look.
KAISERCRAFT RHINESTONES
KAISERCRAFT FLOWERS
QUICKUTZ TREE BORDER CC-BDR-021
QUICKUTZ PINWHEEL QC-0010-S to make the leaves for the backs of the flowers on the trees and kept them in place with some silver brads. The flowers I used are the smallest size of the Kaisercraft flowers.
